Let's assume the rest of Cecil Pinto's is funny (well written, no doubt) and penned without any urge to settle old scores and inter-website rivalry. But I'd like to register my protest about the reference to Tariq Siddiqui below. What happened Cecil? Did the BJP gust blowing around Goa also affect you, to push you too into judging people on the basis of their religion? I guess even writing in a lighter vein does not offer a carte blanche to make bigoted insinuations about people based on accidents of birth. In the US, something like this might be called racism.
At the same time, let me slip in a word of appreciation to Tariq. Despite being outnumbered and having to put up with our collective bias, he has been very rational in his discussions, and avoided name-calling and rudeness in favour of logical arguments. Tariq, I can empathise with what it means to be a Muslim in these "Clash-of-Civilization" Huttingtonian days. The media has been working hard at building up bias.
