Hi all, Now that Herman has given the rates and Cecil has agreed to pay, it would be nice that the goanet admin team does not accept the payment to show its goodwill. The spirit of the whole issue is important. Cecil may want to go the proper route in case he wants to advertise. I'm not sure if the $50 fee is for one-time posting or for a certain period. The advert shouldn't be part of the signature, but rather separated by a dotted line. On the other hand, Cecil shouldn' claim any invoice as it involves administrative work. Less keep the burden on the admin team less as they are volunteers. As for the issue of Fred's signature, he has stated his profession but he hasn't solicited any business. He hasn't asked netters to write to him if they want any articles for a price. Please let's not confuse the issues nor take it Fred because he's part of the admin team. Would the admin team be kind enough to re-instate Cecil? I don't see any point in pursuing this matter any further. As for Sonali, it does matter if the person is genuine though the message this netter posts is more important than the person. But netters should not take cover in alias to hit out at anyone or the admin team. If a netter doesn't have a computer and does his or her posting through use of another netter's computer isn't illegal but this practices raises doubts. Best to avoid it. If this Sonali person has been around sometime and some of us could vouch for this person, it would be fine. But somebody who just appears and starts posting on contentious issues makes all of vary of this person's genuine interest in goanet. We could be going round in circles over this problem and I would like to suggest a quick end. If the admin team still has reasons to keep Cecil suspended, please let us know. I would also like to suggest that Marlon stop using terms such as "junta". If he suspects there's a conspiracy against goanet, it would be wise to be patient till it becomes very transparent. Friends grouping togther to support each other is not uncommon. In the light what has transpired so far, it would be good to put it behind and move forward. Whatever faults goanet has, we need the forum. I don't have anything against other sites and I don't have any problems if more mailing lists or discussion groups pop up. Sometimes I wish I could go through the TGF postings to keep my abreast of discussions on this forum. The TGF has some good pieces by people I wish come back to goanet. With subscription to some professional journalism lists, I get lot of emails that take much of my free time. I'm wavering away from the subject I started with, so I'll leave this part for discussion at a later time. I await a reply from goanet admin team.
