Sindhudurg is the southernmost of Maharashtra's coastal districts, a green
and (fairly) underpopulated place which has long looked to out-migration
to Mumbai and elsewhere. It also reminds one of Goa somewhat, though the
fish is IMHO, far better and the "Malvani" cuisine has a charm of its own.
