GOACOM-INSYS DIVERSIFIES INTO ESTATE MANAGEMENT
Aging overseas Goans look to spending their Golden Years in Goa

At their Board of Directors (BOD) meeting held on August 9, it was
announced that GOACOM-INSYS will be introducing a major, new division in
their operation. The new division will focus on real estate management.

There has been a need for a professional organization to look after
ancestral properties of Non-Resident Goans (NRGs). Hundreds of thousands of
Goans reside overseas. Most of them are linked to one or more properties.
Many of them do not have the time to visit Goa often enough to look after
their properties themselves.

Visiting overseas Director, Mr Tim de Mello advised the BoD meeting that
their offices in Canada and the USA have received numerous queries from
NRGs about this type of service. As many of these NRGs, living in the West,
are rapidly approaching retirement age they are increasingly looking
towards Goa as a place to retire. Many of their residences have been
neglected for decades and are in need of significant renovation. Others
need routine maintenance and small improvements made.

All agreements with NRGs will be formal, legal arrangements so that they
can not only enjoy the confidence of a professional organization, looking
after their properties, but they can also rest assured that they will not
lose ownership of their properties.

GOACOM-INSYS will also be diversifying its activities into other areas. One
such area is where companies in the West are trying to align their legacy
(pre-computer era) data and systems with their current data and systems.
This is seen as a huge opportunity that is currently being tapped by other
Information Technology (IT) companies in India. With the improved use of
the internet and current high level of expertise available it is now
possible to offer these services from Goa.

The BOD sees the future of GOACOM-INSYS as shifting gears as it embraces a
changing environment in the IT field. Says Director, Tim de Mello: "This
can only be good for us. I see the future of GOACOM-INSYS and the future of
IT in Goa as very bright."
