Seeing buds of unity sprouting in different parts of the world in a community that otherwise seems to be leaning more towards individualism, is indeed encouraging and promising to us all. Rene, I wish to commend you for your persistence and being in the forefront in promoting Goan unity. Well done! We in Tanzania are celebrating the 110th anniversary of the Goan community in the country today, 14th August 2002. Holy Mass is being celebrated at the St Joseph's Cathedral, the church that goes back in to a long history of links with the community. While we also wish one another Happy Anniversary, I wish to congratulate all Goans the world over on the Goa Heritage Day.
