I am a vegetarian 80% and rarely eat meat but my diet is balanced. The
dog in England is well fed but dogs in Goa do not get a balanced vegetarian
diet. The man in England who is a vegetarian ought to ask his dog if it
preferred to live on a vegetarian diet. I would classify a vegetarian diet as
superior to a diet of meat. Humans were vegetarians till we started to walk
on our feet and hold a stick. Man is playing with the diet of animals and are
responsible for the BSE or Mad Cow Disease by feeding the cow with the
entrails of sheep. I live in Goa and hear the dogs bark through the entire
night because they are hungry. The dogs are constantly forraging for waste in
garbages.

BBC today broadcast the sad fate of a monkey who climbed on top of a
hanuman statue. Immediately, it was considered to be a re-incarnation of the
God Hanuman. It was worshipped and garlanded and prayed to. It was trapped
and used as an instrument to defraud unsuspecting and religious Hindus. This
happed in Andra Pradesh close to Hyderabad.

This monkey refused to eat and died and of hunger and was cremeted in
pomp befitting a God. India's treatment of animals, snakes included is very
poor. I feel that the proliferation of the Canine species ought to be
controlled humanely. And I insist that a dog ought to be fed a diet of meat
sometimes. Please note that our animals (carnivores) are very poorly fed
while confined in our zoos. The bengal Tiger lives in an area where there are
bison and deer which keeps it from being extinct. Please do not inform us of
that one tiger in your local zoo who is a vegetarian. One sparrow does not
betoken spring. A balanced diet will not kill an animal but hunger will as it
killed this reincarnation of Hanuman. To any one who claims that dogs have
four legs, I must inform him that my dog has five legs and two tails and two
extra canine teeth and he is 74. I meant inches and not years.
