SONGIT SANZ in Kuwait. As announced earlier and reported in the local press in Kuwait, Songit Sanz organized by Kuwait Konknni Kendr will be held on Friday, 11th of this month at 4.00 p.m. Both the visiting topmost Goan artistes veteran C. D’silva and ace comedian Ben Envagelisto are already in Kuwait and are all set to give their best to satisfy the taste of audience who are eagerly awaiting to enjoy their hilarious comedy. Besides their appearances in comedy skits, they will also render beautiful and interesting solos and duets. First time they will be seen in action as Goan “Garamae” and while playing their comedy role they will surely create peals of laughter in the hall. Additionally, C. D’Silva will render two solos one of which a comedy and one duet with Querobina while Ben Evangelisto in the guise of Michael Jackson will sing a beautiful solo, he will also render one more comedy solo. The other interesting items will be performed by the local artistes namely well known Sanny de Quepem who will enthrall the audience not only with his beautiful opening solo but also with his melodious voice. He will also participate in Mando rendering the lead voice along with the nightingale of Kuwait Goan Stage Querobina. This will be the first time Querobina and Sanny singing in such a wonderful original Mando beautifully composed by Rosary Ferns. The other participants in the Mando are Marcus Vaz, Goretti, Mario, Sandra, Rosary, Conchita, Bernard and Jane. The other very interesting item of the musical evening will be Operatta prepared by Rosary Ferns. This operatta is a chain of some of the most interesting oldies composed and sung by the then great Goan stage artistes. This will culminate into a beautiful Mando and dulpod by both the above mentioned “Garamae”. Another interesting item will be a Kunbi song by Anthony Car, Domnick Araujo, Sandra and Jane. Two dancing items based on Goan folk songs will be performed by the well known Mangalorean folk dancers Jyoti and Sudi on the vocals of Jasmine and Roney while the other will be performed by Conchita and her troupe. Tony de Pomburpa will sing on Tiatrists. Marcus Vaz the famous son of once great and now retired Master Vaz will sing two solos which should surely satisfy the taste of the audience. Both the solos are based on the local Goan situation. The other artistes who will entertain the audience very lavishly with their items are Michael D’Silva, Donald-Jane, Francis de Verna, Bab Agnelo, Tony de Pomburba and Rosary himself. The main item of the Sanz is “Dev Pavta” written and directed by Rosary Ferns. In this play Querobina, Donald, Bernard, Sandra, Joe Ferreira and others will dish out best of their performances.
