Dear Dr Nandu,
I know that Sangath has been doing very good work with familiies, children
and young mothers --
I came across this statement in "Business India Index" of BUSINESS
DIA -- October 28 to November 10, 2002:
"Chances that higher secondary school students in
Goa suffer from depression -- one in four
"Chances that these students say they can't talk freely
with their fathers -- two in three"
Business India has not quoted the source of this statement -- no matter
what the source, this situation is alarming.
I am sure Sangath and possibly Goadesc could initiate some discussion to
find solutions to this problem.
Cheers
Aloysius D'Souza
