Goans deserve to be kicked and kicked hard until they leave everything and
run away to distant lands to save their miserable skins and leave this land
of their ancestors in the hands of these ungrateful communal lot who will
soil the
very plate they eat from.
Gentlemen,
They say that there are 49 ways to leave your lover. It is a sin to do nothing in life. I like sin and have learnt to do nothing while I live away from the land I love. A Goan is not the only one who leaves his homeland to go abroad.
1. As a Goan I have less chance to attain Sainthood. If Pdr. Agnello or Pdr. Jose Vaz were living in the West they would have been Saints by now,
2. As a Goan, my orifices leak and I need the comfort to relieve myself. Like Deepa Murkunday I do not have to urinate in Municipal offices. While one lives abroad, one never has to urinate on a wall like a dog.
3. Most importantly, a Goan has to feed his family and Goa does not offer him this opportunity. While those who do work earn in a year what another who lives away from the confines of Goa earns in a month, I think a fool would glue himself to a place where he is led to desperation.
4. Put your money in a bank and the Bank Manager will connive with a friend to rip you off. You then have the misery to prove your case and the wheels of justice grind very slowly.
5. Go to the Panchayat, Talathi, Gram Panchayat, Mamlatdar's office, PWD and the electricity Department and note the hardships one endures to accomplish anything in Goa. Away from India one has no hassles.
6. Plant a tree and watch others reap its benefits. Leave a house and the front door is broken. Buy a Hero Honda and see it evaporate mystically. Parts of your unidentifiable bike will end up in various places.
7. Many priests and the Archbishop are corrupt. Outside India while priests (and even bishops) are known to molest the young, redress is possible and even compensation as the Churches are realizing. Have Goans heard of Zero tollerance?
8. The mosquitos that sting a Goan living abroad are less likely to kill him from Dengue Fever, Malaria,etc. If ever infected, the medical profession are on alert and know what one must do.
9. One never uses the Byzantine word bribe outside India. One does not have to queue like in Goa and public officials know that the public are the ones that are responsible for their wages.
10. Take a Kadamba bus to travel to an fro and note the discomfort and risk of travel in Goa. Note the rate of accidents on Goan roads.
11. Must I go on?
There are many many more reasons why Goans would not leave the comfort of the West to live in a 'Plague infested' land that they love so much. The Goans from Idi Amin's Goa were requested to return and claim their assets they left behind by Yoweri Musaveni. A fraction have gone back. Wny? Only a fool would return to a beautiful place like Uganda.
It is sad that Goans who have stayed behind have to undergo indignities by their elected officials. Goa had Congress Governments who shafted them. They have embarked on a different route. The vermin or Dadas in Goa have like wood worms retreated to a quite security of the interoior of the wood. Parrikar has gone after them and I commend him for this.
Goa is Hell on earth. This is why Goans have left their homeland. There are positives to every situation and Goa has its good points and this is why many Goans travel to return for a while to a Hell they once left. Hell too has its positive points (where on earth will one see such beautiful and sinful people). Blacks who leave the confines of the ghetto called Harlem where they once lived, like to return there to appreciate their situation. Those that did not leave envy the standard of those that left.
Living outside Goa has its drawbacks. One must learn to cope with racism, stress and the inclement weather. I return to Goa to watch a pig and a dog cross the road and avoid an accident while man must defy impact and meet sudden death. Even the sea is treacherous and where many unsuspecting Goans and tourists meet 'a watery grave'. Living away from India, one does not have the time to defy the azure waters of the sea. One in fact rarely sees sand except when houses are being built.This lack of sunshine and sand have made the skins of those that leave Goa miserable (refer to attached para above).
I admire the fortitude of those in Goa who are manning the fortress while many leave the fort. I commisserate with their hardships. I know very well the indignities they must endure to live there. Please understand why your bretheren have left Goa.
