"It has been observed that some of the police personnel are not using helmets while riding 2-wheelers inspite of instructions from the police headquarters and the superintendent of police (traffic) in the past. Consequently several staff members of this department have sustained serious head injuries and quite a few have lost their precious lives in 2-wheeler accidents. Moreover it is against the law to drive a 2-wheeler without a headgear," Mr Singh's circular further stated.
