Why should anyone from the US Govt be quoted? So people can believe their propaganda?
The US
Govt. actions speaks louder than words. The Texan oil companies Sales Dept. (Bush,
Cheney) don't
seem to mind that a war will kill Iraqi children when so far the UN inspectors have
found no
weapons of mass destruction. What is their justification for war now? The hypocrisy is
evident
since they are not dealing with the real rogues who possess WMD (North Korea, etc.)
and Israel,
etc. who are not signatories to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Act. Because these
countries don't
have oil.

George
P.S. US govt. officials (and a lot of leaders) have historically lied to suit their
purposes. For
example, Henry Kissinger re: Cambodia, Middle East; Robert McNamara re: Vietnam (he
even admitted
this); McFarlane re: Iran-Contra, etc., and the most famous/notorious of all - Nixon
on Watergate.
Some might even add Clinton on Monica Lewinsky but that is more at a personal level.
Why should
Colin Powell, Bush, etc. or anyone be trusted now? What is the point in their quotes?

easily write fabricated stories like these.
