Hi Paddy:

I am puzzled by your above statement. I did not attend the non-resident Goan meet, and do not know what was discussed in it that would make my assertion that all Goans are Indians, foolhardy. Surely, you don't think I don't know that there are Goans who have become citizens of other countries, or who have never been citizens of India in the first place? All I meant to say was Goa is an integral part of India in a dramatic sort of way. I am not much of a jingoist. But I never cease to be amused by Goans who are offended by being called Indians. Perhaps taking off the blinders and expanding one's vision has that liberating effect on Goans.
