Have just heard this from an online friend and read on papers too....eddie Aivao abuzz over visions of Mother Mary to 12-year-old PANJIM, MARCH 13 — BY HERALD REPORTER — Weeks after the ‘blood-weeping’ Sacred Heart of Jesus incident was reported in Camurlim village, droves of faithfuls are making their way to a remote corner of Dona Paula’s Aivao hamlet, where a 12-year-old boy, Charles Lopes, has reported to Church authorities visions of the Virgin Mary. Scarlet-shaded imprints of crosses, a heart, a 10-bead rosary and the word ‘WAR’ appeared and disappeared on the thighs, forearms and chest of the shy and timid lad, lending a degree of credence to the claims. Taleigao’s assistant parish priest, Fr Orlando Marques, confirmed having witnessed the imprint of the 10-bead rosary on one of the boy’s thighs. “The boy says that the imprints of crosses, heart, rosary and the word `war’ have got etched on his body from time to time since the first vision on Friday last,” Fr Marques told Herald. “I, for myself, have seen the 10 beads of the rosary imprinted on the boy’s thigh,” Fr Marques added. Charles, a standard eight student of Auxilium High School, Caranzalem himself told Herald that he first had a vision of a weeping Virgin Mary on the night of Friday (March 7), about the time when he and his family were praying the Holy Rosary. “She gave me no message the first time,” Charles said, adding that during the second vision on Tuesday, the Virgin Mary asked him to urge everyone to show more devotion through the Holy Rosary. Charles also said the scarlet-shaded dots sketching a cross, a heart, the word ‘war’ and the rosary, appeared and disappeared at various points of time since his first vision on Friday last. The incident has been reported to higher church authorities, including the Bishop’s palace at Altinho by the boy’s family. The church, however, is yet to officially comment on the affair, though sources confirmed it is seized of the matter. The boy’s family meanwhile disclosed that the parish priest of St Cruz, Fr Succoro Mendes, had visited their home and witnessed the imprint on the boy’ s thighs. Charles’ parents — Camilo and Saurina — claimed that Fr Mendes had come alongwith two doctors who checked the boy to ascertain whether the imprints were a result of any skin rash or like medical reason. One of the imprints, has also been video-filmed in Fr Mendes’ presence, the boy’s family claimed. Fr Mendes was apparently deputed by church authorities on a fact-finding mission as the parish priest of Taleigao, Fr Carmo Martins, is attending a retreat and is not in station. Meanwhile, Charles continues to lead his normal life despite all the unnerving limelight. He told Herald that he attended school all these days, except for today. A large number of people from different parts of the State are seen visiting the boy’s house and praying at the nearby chapel. _______________________________________________ Goanet mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.goanet.org/mailman/listinfo/goanet
