The Centre would oppose the demand for summoning of the Prime Ministerbefore the Liberhan commision to expalin his position about the then Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr. Kalyan Singh's allegation tha t Mr. Atal Behari Vajpayee knew about the conspiracy" to demolish the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992.......... Comments: And why the hell not?? Is the Prime Minister above law?? If the mightiest nation in the world can impeach its president (USA), why cannot the Indian Prime Minister be asked to depose before the Liberhan Commission? The whole world knows that Kalyan Singh is telling the truth. And the whole world also knows that Vajpayee is not so innocent that he claims to be. In the wake of his statement in 1989 in Mumbai, three years before the demolition of the Babri Masjid this seems beyond doubt: Quote April 6, 1989, in Mumbai, he publicly rejected the proposal to declare the Babri mosque as a national monument under the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958, and asked the Muslims to agree to the handing over of the mosque to the Hindus unconditionally as it was a part of their cultural heritage. Unquote The centre, instead of opposing Vajpayee's deposition before the commission, should encourage it all the more, so that he may come clean in the open.Why is he being sheltered? If he is guilty of the crime, let him be convicted and lodged in the tihar jail. Prime minister or no prime minister. For, a criminal is a criminal. Indian democracy will have gained the name that is eluding it. And if he is innocent, let him lead the nation to where it needs to go and as far as he is allowed to. It is unlikely that Vajpayee, and for that matter, even Advani, can look straight into the eyes of Kalyan Singh and say that he is lying. RSS is RSS. Even a worst viper would be acceptable, but not the RSS in Vajpayee and in Advani. Where as, the poison lies in the fangs of the viper, the communal poison of the RSS lies in its tail, corrupting the entire body when it comes up. This is amply apparent when Vajpayee made it known to the whole world from the platform in Goa at Campal, Panjim. By all means, India must put Vajpayee on the witness stand of the Liberhan Commission. India does not belong to the Hindus and the bigots in the VHP alone. Who are these hypocrites and bigots trying to fool? Thanks to these communal bigots and vipers, India has gained a name as a "fundamentalist nation". Are we indeed????? How very nice!
