Education Corporation for Goa?? From: Averthanus D'Souza "Cabinet nod for Education Corporation"confirms the widely held belief of the people of Goa that the Parrikar government simply does not understand the meaning of good governance. The setting up of an "education corporation" is a good example of this Intellectual bankruptcy of the government.
Response: To carry on an informed dialogue on Education in Goa started on GoaNet and Goa Forum, here are some thoughts from an outside observer. 1. The current education system in Goa cannot be termed a success and accomplishment. 2. If the "education corporation" is a conglomerate of educational establishments rather than the current system of government politicians and paper-pushing bureaucrats would not this change make sense? 3. If it works for business and private enterprise why should it not work for education? 4. The people of Goa cannot just be negative on every solution and then complain they have a problem. 5. Rather than protest about the "education corporation", do the critics have a better solution? 6. Should we be hearing from high school and college principles and professors rather than very Gabru, Pedro and Peru like me? Just asking?
