Dear Santosh,
No dispute with you my friend, carry on. To me it is more important that the
prize should be awarded than its nomenclature be discussed. I had made my
suggestion. Goenchem Prize. So be it. Amen(i.e. I accept). And the winner
is..... Yup,that's the important person who has done an important thing.
Cheers,Miguel

masculine in Konkani...just like our Chimbelcho cheddo.

> Dear Miguel:
I thought the word prize would be better, compared to puroskar, inaam,
bokxish or prem because: a) non-Konkani speaking Goans are eligible to
receive this prize, and
b) this word has already become part of the conversational Konknni lexicon
in Goa.

They insist that prize is feminine. Mind you, these people are not .
