WORLD GOA DAY Congratulations to the organisers of "WORLD GOA DAY" in getting the Goans together, this way it keeps Goans all over the world in touch with our roots, be it through our MEALS of XITT-KHODI, SORPOTEL, VINDALOO, XACUTI, SAANAS, BEBINCA, Konkanni language and music - MANDDOS, DULPODS, DEKHNIS and Goan Folk Dances- KUNBI, MANDDO, DEKHNI to name a few. Thanks to the far sightedness and dedication of Mussolini Menezes (TIVIM-GOA) founder of "GLIMPSES OF GOA" which has been in existence since 1944 in Goa. This group performed 32 different Goan Folk Dances which included 5 Portuguese dances to packed auditoriums in Bombay, NewDelhi, Goa, Bangalore, Madras, Belgaum, Pune ect. For Mussolini's selfless dedication and for his development of Goan Culture - MUSIC and DANCE the Goa Government has given him a monthly honorarium. Now this group operates from both GOA and AUSTRALIA and is dedicated to the spread of "GOAN CULTURE" through "FOLK DANCES & SONGS".
