Looks like we may have misread this news item. Didn't it say that pickles 
could be carried henceforth as *hand luggage*? Wouldn't that imply that it 
could be carried as cabin-baggage? 

After 9/11, airport-security around the world wouldn't allow carrying of a 
scissors to trim your moustache in your hand-baggage. But they had no 
problem if this went with cabbin baggage. 

Hard to understand the danger that pickles would pose. Some rules simply 
don't lack any logic. FN
