May I be permitted to share with you a post which I recieved from Peter D souza , Secretary of G.O.A NYC. Many of you will have read Peters many posts on Goanet in the past. It gives me added pleasure to note that the GOA NYC has paid great emphasis on promoting their Goan Cultural Heritage on the occassion of their very FIRST WORLD GOA DAY_NYC celebrations !. They have also found ways to share this knowledge with their Goan Youth. Please join me in wishing them all the best in their efforts to PROMOTE AND PRESERVE their GOAN HERITAGE which they seem to very proud of. I do hope and pray that all other Goan Organistions world wide follow their EXAMPLE. It has helped our programming team put together a better plan. We will soon be sending an e-mail on the Picnic Day Plan. Special activites for children will be held at the picnic. We request parents to encourage their children to send World Goa Day messages to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Every child who sends a message will receive a prize at the picnic. The catering team requests you bring generous portions of mouth-watering Goan delicacies; appetizers, deserts or entrees'. Please bring your signature dishes for the hot food table setting, in half foil pans. If you wish to barbeque, just bring the chorizos, bangdas and sardines among other items. We will make arragements for grills, coals etc. BYOP (Bring Your Own Printouts) of the attached Mandos and join in the chorus of voices. Stay tuned for more....
