FROM THE PAST TO THE FUTURE.

I am pleased to announce that the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich,
England, will launch the PorCities web site (www.portcities.org.uk) on the
22nd September 2003. For the first time (in history) A British national
institution has provided a web-site article on the Goans. The Goans are
featured as one of several communities in the port of London. It is
fascinating to see and read about our 400 year history with the capital of
Britain. The narrative will be featured in Latin script Konkani and will
therefore also be a first for a British institution. The main researcher for
the communities in the port of London is Kenya-born historian Cliff Pereira.

On behalf of the National Maritime Museum I wish you all a
Happy World Goa Day.
