With deep sorrow I received telephonic news from Goa in the morning today that the beloved mother of renowned Konkani Stage Artiste Querobina Carvalho's mothers expired in Goa, today early in the morning. Having received the news of her mother's seriousness on Friday morning, Querobina made her arragement to fly back to Goa yesterday early in the morning by Indian Airlines direct flight. Just an hour before reaching to see her mother and whisper in her ears the most precious and beloved word "MAE", the very Mae who brought her up and gave her only daughter everything within her capacity, died. That was the destiny. Querobina who is an excellent stage artiste was always worried of her mother's health. A resident of Kuwait for over 6 years now, Querobina Carvalho will miss a lot in life in the death of her mother. It is said "the importance of one's mother one comes to know only when one's mother dies".
On behalf of myself, all my like minded friends and colleagues Goans as well as Mangaloreans who adore her so much for her stage talent, all the Konkani and Tiatro lovers, I convey our deepest symphaties to Querobina Carvalho. May God give the deceased heavenly peace and courage to Querobina Carvalho to bear this colossal loss.
