Frederick Noronha wrote...on the occasion of Herman Carneiro's 26th birthday

" This small note is to say a thank you for people like Herman who set up Goanet, when he was a 17-year-old studying at North Eastern University, Boston. (Odd though it may sound, we've never met all these years!) "

I can't understand this odd phrasing.

Can Fred please expand on that and tell us about the other 'PEOPLE LIKE like Herman who set up GoaNet'.

Who ELSE were there at the time in 1994?
Where are they now?
How come their names are never mentioned whenever the origins of GoaNet are discussed?
Is it true that GoaNet was initially setup by some overseas Goan bachelors to meet Goan girls?

Maybe a detailed "History of GoaNet - The Early Years" would be educative to all us subscribers.

Or maybe a FAQ? My unofficial (and controversial) FAQ is archived on the GoaNet server. Maybe it could be revised? Or maybe an Official FAQ could be put in place? I could help write it. Would be very good for new subscribers.
