CLOSE ENCOUNTER WITH MARS
No one alive today will ever see this again!!
Never again in our lifetime will the Red Planet look so spectacular. This
month, Earth is catching up with Mars, an encounter that will culminate in
the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. On August
27th when Mars comes so close that it had not come so close in last 5000
years ! The next time Mars may come this close is only in 2287.
Goa Science Centre has made special arrangements for observing this
celestial phenomena on 27th and 28th August,2003. The programme will be as
below :

7.00 pm - Special slide show
7.30 to 8.30 PM Observation of Planet Mars through Telescope
( Telescope observation will be subject to no rain and clear sky conditions)
