INDIA & ISRAEL
While writing these lines the premier of Israel Ariel Sharon is in India with a huge delegation comprising topmost bureaucrats, technocrats, government officials and host of other top personalities. This is the first time India hosting such a high-powered Israeli delegation. Since the formation of Israel in 1948 India always opposed Israel everywhere and at all the international fora to please and to support the Arab cause. For India Palestinian cause was the Arab cause. To oppose Israel blindly was the blind cause of Nehruvian policy which was later-on followed by all the successive Governments till 12 years back when India finally opened its doors for full diplomatic relationship with Israel. Earlier during the time of Morarjee Desai�s premiership under the Janata Party rule when current Premier of India Vajpayee held the post of Foreign Affairs, there was hidden contact between India and Israel, even meetings between the two top Governments officials, which later on Vajpayee lied, but Morarjee Desai true to his Gandhian principle of Truth admitted saying �YES�. Since then I treat Vajpayee as a BIG LIAR which is his Big habbit.
It is a hard fact that the State of Israel was born out of crimes and robberies on innocent Palestinians who were on broad daylight robbed of their belongings, houses, properties and turned orphans. It was a hard fact that to fortify its position on the land of Jesus Christ, Jews with the power of their guns and brute might thrown the poor Palestinians out of their homes and houses and in turn occupied them for their own selves. In order to liquidate the traces of Arab Palestinians, Israeli Government with the help of West especially UK & USA brought in Jews from Diaspora and implanted them in Palestine. Thru this method Israel succeeded in changing the demographic structure of Palestine. Arab Palestinians are become foreigners and strangers in their own land, so much so, they are even denied some of the rights and privileges normally provided to the Jews.
Currently lot of disenchantment is displayed in India in many quarters especially in the Muslim dominated areas. When India established full diplomatic relationship with Israel some of the Muslims in India protested as they are now protesting over the visit of Sharon to India. But when other Muslim and Arab Nations established similar relationship with Israel they remained silent, this is something beyond one�s imagination. India is an independent country having its own independent policy to follow for its own good and establishing diplomatic relationship with Israel is the right course of action. The very nations that fought against Israel in the last wars have full diplomatic relationship with Israel. If this is the case why not India whom Israel has done nothing wrong? During the Congress Party rule in India, the successive Governments have blindly followed the dictat of �if comrade Napolean says yes, it must be yes� and because of this blind policy India suffered a lot. In order to please the Muslim community in India for its votes, India simply opposed Israel in many instances. One thing must be noted here that the cause of Palestine is not the cause of Muslims only; it is the cause of Christian also. Fighting for the separate homeland for Palestinians is not the cause of Palestinian Arab Muslims only; it is the cause of Palestinian Arab Christians also. In fact the deadliest fighters for the establishment of separate and independent Palestinian State were and are Arab Christians. The cause of Arab Palestine is not the cause of one Muslim community only. It is the cause of both the Arab Muslim and Arab Christian communities where even some segments of Jewish community support the independent State of Arab Palestine.
Judaism is an obstruction to all other religions. In order to eradicate other religions Jews will do anything if they get an opportunity. Burning and destruction of Islamic and Christian Holy places is the result of Jewish hatred for other religions. Because of West�s bias towards Israel, the Christian West blindly gives its allegiance to Israel thereby overlooking its atrocities against Palestinians. Because of its Biblical affinity with Jews Christian World in general closes its eyes on the misdeeds of Israel. Palestinian Arabs need independent State to protect their land, heritage, history, culture, language, folklore dignity and many other aspects of their life, the existence of Israeli State denies Palestinians of their birth rights. During his stay in India, the Government of India must raise this issue with Sharon to find out a solution for the better relationship between Israel and Palestinian Arabs. In the past due to its lop sided policy India closed its doors for any negotiations and discussions with Israel but now both these countries are on talking terms, India must play its role positively to help establishment of independent State of Palestine. While doing this India must not expect anything in return from Palestinians, even support for India�s cause at international meets. Yasser Arafat is under international isolation because of his defective policy during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraq. Amongst Palestinians there are many Yasser Arafats who showed their ingratitude to the countries and friends who sheltered and fed them once. Yasser Arafat before the formation of his Fatah Movement was employed in Kuwait working at PWD in the Carpentry Department and Kuwait has given him and his people so much of best in life. Inspite of this Arafat failed to openly condemn Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and failed to support Kuwait then. The same type of ingratitude India too can expect but that is immaterial. India must show its great heartedness in fighting for the independence and liberation of places, which are under the siege. And Palestine is under the siege by Israel.
