I'm responding to the post on GoaNet that encouraged us to focus our efforts on
helping fellow Goenkars in need instead of quibbling over who is or isn't a true
Goan.

Unfortunately, the poster got the name of the Goan wrong. It should be Tony Vaz
and not Peter Vaz as mistakenly stated. There are already efforts underway to
help him by the RD Burman fan club at Panchamonline since Tony was R D Burman's
bass guitarist. However, surely we as Goans can come together as a worldwide
community to offer Tony assistance. There is a discussion underway as Marlon
pointed out on the Goacom forum. We invite your ideas/participation there or you
can contact me directly if any of you wish to help. I've already written to Fred
Noronha asking him to pass the word to concerned Goans. If you are not aware of
Tony's situation here is the link to the article that appeared in the Times of
India.

My best to you all.
