Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar must be repenting for starting the EDC debate. Over the years the Economic Development Corporation has been chewed to its bones by the various Chairmen and Directors. This continued after the BJP took over the reins. Chief Minister Parrikar will also stand exposed as to how he helped his close relatives and BJP friends and pushed the crumbling Corporation over the brink. Response: I do not believe anything will come of it, unless the people of Goa clamour hard and loud. Since when has any Judicial enquiry in Goa been truly, impartial? The C.M. might well change his mind and say that there is no need for a Judicial enquiry. His BJP cronies might pay back the loans taken from the EDC. There are so many imponderables, getting excited is one thing, events actually taking place is another. The C.M. might well appoint an friendly Judge to the Judicial enquiry. What then?
