Dear Goanetters, If the opening sentence in the lawyer's notice to the Editors and Publishers of the 4 newspapers reads thus,"My client Shri Manohar Parrikar, Honourable Chief Minister Government of Goa", how does it become a private notice by citizen Manohar Parrikar? Do citizens flaunt their rank in private correspondence ??
Are 'civil wrongs' also 'criminal acts' ? Pray, what are 'false acts' ? If the notice is 'to refrain from in any way publishing any further' , are the newspapers in breach of the notice for each daily newspaper issued thereafter,whether defamatory or totally innocent of any controvertial 'news'? I am at sea with all this jingoistic jargon. I have not even heard of it in courts of law. Viva Goa.
