Remember that the beatification ceremony took place in Sri Lanka! Goa is offering an activ collaboration, in various ways. (The miracle approved for the beatification was submitted by Goa!). The Cause is promoted by the Diocese where the candidate for sainthood died and not where he/she was born. For example, it is the Archbishop of Calcutta and not the one at Tirana (Albania) who is taking up the Cause of Mother Teresa.
