Dears, The "Saint of the Gutters" will now be called "Blessed" [meaning 'happy']. This is a fast track...in the reverse gear.
A person to whom the country's highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna [Jewel of India], was awarded, a person who had applied for and received Indian citizenship soon after India's independence from British rule, was not a 'white' to us. Vatican may see it differently: Indians do not. She worked in a state with a leftist/Marxist government and was loved even by the rightist/BJP-led central/federal government. On Mother Theresa there is no dispute in India. The opposite is true about the "miracle" of Monika Besra[her post-'miracle', post-conversion name] . Why should a healthy person be given a crutch to walk with? Does Mother Theresa need the miracle or the Vatican? Who needs prooof of her sainthood....we have called her a saint while she was alive....look who is disputing it and calling her ....blessed???? Viva Mother Theresa...the Saint of the Gutters!
