This is a reply to the following:

�Parrikar said nobody had brought to his notice that injustice was done to top artistes who have contributed tremendously but live outside Goa and as such are not eligible for the State Cultural Awards. Alfred Rose was one of them as he was not a *resident of the State*.

I totally disagree with Mr. Parrikar�s comments above. Alfred Rose may have resided in Mumbai but he was a true Goan and spent his life promoting Goan culture. If the Goa government could bestow honors on Lata Mangueskar, who happens to be a non-resident of the State, why couldn�t it do the same to Alfred Rose when he was alive? If this is not injustice, what is it?
