Hoarding Dangers Jesuine G. Fernandes, Cansaulim
The Verna bypass has become notorious for fatal accidents and in panic, the authorities have broken convention to erect speed breakers. I wouldn't like to go into the causes of past mishaps, but would like to point out the 'sexciting' hoarding put up by liquor companies as a possible cause of future accidents.
Motorists are tempted to steal a glance at these titillating life like visuals even while moving at break neck speeds. Driving on this road a few days ago, a hoarding put up by a well known liquor company caught my attention. This one has a well endoured female showing off her sexy apple, geeen chaddi and a colourful tattoo on the small of her back. Well, lovely advt indeed and a very well done job by the advertising firm. But, why can't it be up where those who want, can appreciate it without risking their lives and those of others?
The concerned authorities should see that such advts are not put up along highways. At least not on this bypass please!!!
