You asked for additions to the story:
George Pinto pointed to the grasshopper's plight as another attempt by the Vatican to 
sideline
insects of colour.
Dr. Jose Colaco knew there was an anti-Portuguese bias to this story but could not 
figure it, so
he blamed Goan journalists.
Dr. Santosh Helekar said the grasshopper is potentially a rational scientic being. Joe 
Vaz
responded that no one should question the religious faith of the ant. Marlon Menezes 
made all of
them saints.
Valmiki Falerio wrote that Rajan Narayan must be playing an adverse hand in this 
affair and blamed
the newly launched Goan Obersever while in the same breath wished the Goan Observer 
well.

It is good to laugh at ourselves.
