It is always nice read about development plans in any part of Goa. As we
progress, I am sure the local population will keep a watchful eye to curb any
corruption.

I read through this article and have a few suggestions. Most Goan towns and
villages lack proper road signs and directions. I know there has been progress
in putting up signs. I have seen that the road signs in Goa are misleading, many
a time. It becomes a nightmarish situation, especially in the night, if one has not
travelled to that region during the daytime.

As in Europe, North America or even the Persian Gulf, Goa needs to try and name
every possible road and street and put up proper signs. Also assign visible numbers
to each house/building. On every street in the US and Canada, houses have
numbers....all odd numbered houses are on one side of the street and even ones on
the other. All this may not be possible in Goa, where a house will be situated smack
in the middle of some vaddo, with only a walking path access to that house.

Perhaps, it is a too much to ask for, but it can certainly be done. There are a lot of
things that can be done to improve Goa and I am sure there will be a lot more
suggestions from fellow Goanetters.
