Just dropped in to see celebrating Panjim after tea [the snacks got over before I reached the table with my wife and Fr.Reggie] at the Raj Bhavan. It was really a celebration of life. Music,fun,food,wines, designer clothes at market prices, lots of people. I had to rush back for the Rotary AGM and elections in Mapusa. See you at Garcia da Orta Garden tomorrow. Half the world is there. So is Ethel da Costa[ who is related to Francisco Luis Gomes, after whom another garden in Panaji is named !] The "Panaji Ablaze" with the trees along the Dayanand Bandodkar Marg all lit up, as also the buildings on Mahatma Gandhi Road[ erstwhile Rua Afonso de Albuquerque] and elsewhere in town, gives the city some charm again.
