Police informed that Almeida had fractured his leg, for his father had scolded him. In the second incident, a family who had come from Dharwad to Margao for purchases on 5 January, left their son Deepak along with some goods at the Gandhi market and went about shopping. On their return they found him missing. (GT) GOA DURING THE 'STONE AGE': Located between the Arabian Sea and the Sahyadri ranges, Goa was also inhabited by Stone Age humans. Evidence is available in different areas to substantiate the fact that the human history of the region now called the State of Goa began around one lakh years ago. During the pre-historic period, man had established himself in the region surrounding the Dudhsagar, which flows into the river Mandovi.
