Re Surnames, we have examples where the father's first Christian name has become the new surname. Two of my friends were Harold George de Souza. All from his family adopted the father's Christian name and he simply became Harold George. The other who was Rudolf de Souza, became Rudolf Nobay (i.e by taking on the father's Christian name). I am sure there must be many others like this which makes matters complicated but interesting. Cornel
