Konkani Opera at Kala Academy
A Konkani Opera entitled 'College Life' will be staged by the students of St. Xavier's College at Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji, on 24th January, 2004 at 4.30 p.m.
College years play a crucial role in the formation of a
teenager who, for the first time, has a taste of freedom and in
many ways is put to test by teachers, peers and society at large. Parents too have a difficult time dealing with a College going
teenager. The opera depicts the agony and ecstasy that
accompanies the unfolding of those crucial years.
The lyrics are written by Shri Tomazinho Cardoso and music is composed by Fr. Peter Cardoso. The Opera promises to be scintillating, thought provoking and entertaining.
Tickets are available at Babaji's (Mapusa), Champs (Panaji) and Kala Academy (Panaji).
