Could Joel, Cecil or anybody else clarify what "Darya Sangam" is? I had
never heard or read of a place or locality named thus. I guess it is part of
Campal, a stretch by the river front in Panjim, and that the expression
(nothing to do with Cecil's business!) is in Marathi or Hindi; and I imagine
that "Darya" actually stands for the Konkani word "Dorya" (= Sea). If so,
shouldn't it have been "Nhoim" or "Nodi" which means "River" in "amchi
bhas"? And what is "Sangam"? Shouldn't "river front" be "nhoim fuddo" or
"nodi fuddo" in Goa's language?

Dear Mr. Noronha,

The Campal river/sea front is very difficult to demarcate. When a 5 Star Hotel comes up in the area it is defined as a 'river front' to get past the building ban on the sea front. For other technical reasons it is variously defined as a sea, river, rivulet and stream.

Below are a few anagrams for 'Darya Sangam' for you to understand better.

Say "A Grandma"
A NY gas drama
Mad angry aas
A Madras yang

To answer your query in Hinglish, the anagram below is sufficient:

Damn Sagar ya!

Cheers!

Cecil
