Acaria Almeida, a Board member and Treasurer of Goa Sudharop, is Manager of a U.S.
Bank branch in
Dublin, California. Those who attended our International Goan Women's Appreciation
Day in
November 2003 were privileged to hear her presentation on careers in banking. She
offered to help
Goans get a start in this career. One outcome of her presentation was that Acaria
helped place
two Goans in jobs at U.S. Bank who were recommended to her at the Goan Women's
Appreciation Day.
US Bank, is the 8th largest US bank and is 3rd in the In-Store market. They are
expanding in
California and this year they are opening 100 In-Store Branches in Safeways. US Bank
