I beg to differ with the views of the Hon'ble CM. Yes the matter is near about 18 years old. But the order dated 1987 is clear that the customary feast both on 2nd February and 4th October has to be celebrated keeping into consideration the security aspects. This condition has not been protected by the GOA Government. Further there are 40 canons lying in the island as confirmed from the Directorate of Archieves. This belongs to the State Government. The island has not been ceded to the Central Government or the Govt of KARNATAKA until this is done by an Act of Parliament the ISLAND still belongs to GOA. I have all the letters documents and I will place it on the net to counter the contention of the CM. .
