It is very rare that Goans of Christian faith are
involved in slaughtering business (specially of cows,
buffaloes, ox, sheep). However it is found that there
are only a few Goans, who took up this professions,
specially in the Candolim-Calangute villagers.

Can someone give an insight whether these families are
originally from Goa or have these families landed in
Goa and took up such a profession and then converted
to the Christian faith.

This doubt comes to mind as some of the third
generation are now involved in character assination
too!
