This is in reference to the news item in your newspaper dated January 21, 2004, page No. 2 on tiatro �Bhangar Tukam Dilem� by Rafael de Majorda. The news released by Herald News-Features Team said that this tiatro will be staged in Kuwait on 13th February 2004 at Indian Arts Circle. On this subject let me say that this news item is fake news penned in by fake person. I don�t know how a reputed newspaper like Herald published such a bogus news item without verifying properly the truthfulness of the news and genuineness of the writer. First of all Rafael de Majorda is no more in Kuwait. Secondly on 13th February the hall Indian Arts Circle is already booked for the tiatro �Devak Zai Zalear� by Ben Evangelisto who is coming to the Gulf tour along with his 15 member troupe. The first stage of Ben�s tiatro will be in Kuwait on date and venue as stated above. Thirdly your news item said that Bab Veronica Fernandes will be first time participating in Rafael�s tiatro. This is a Hitlerian lie. Bab Veronica Fernandes is not a tiatrist and he does not act in tiatro. Fourthly your same news item states that Rafael�s tiatro will be staged under the production of Hilton de Assolna and his troupe. This is yet another lie of Goebellian nature.
In Kuwait I have observed that a group of Rostad Goykars has developed whose only motto is to use fake names to write bogus letters not only in the newspapers but also on internet. In view of this, Mr. Editor I kindly request you next time to be more careful because fake writers are mushrooming and in fake names they want to spoil the fair image of certain members of Goan community in Kuwait. This sort of hara-kiri in Kuwait only Goan community members are committing and yet we call ourselves advanced and matured. It is my request to you to investigate with Herald News � Feature Team to find out the source of this news and openly declare in this newspaper the result of your findings so that truth is disclosed. Otherwise the fair image of Herald will be affected giving an impression into the minds of certain people that Herald is also responsible for damaging the fair image of some people who are affected by this type of bogus news.
