RUDY PAYS HOTEL BILL: Seeking to end the controversy over non-payment of the bills for him and his family's stay at a Goa hotel, Civil Aviation Minister Rajiv Pratap Rudy yesterday sent two drafts totaling Rs.2.44 lakh to clear the dues, sources close to him said. The bills pertained to the expenses during his five-day, four night stay at the Taj Exotica hotel with his family members from 30 December last year to 2 January. (GT)
RESPONSE: The Gent was obviously hoping the stay would have been free of charge. What cheek! What sort of salary do Ministers earn to be able to afford Rs. 2.44 lakh for a fews days stay at an obviously expensive hotel?
