| Press Trust of India news reports reaching here say that in one of the | worst air disasters in the UAE in recent times, 12 Indians were among the | 43 peopel on board an Iranian plane killed when it clashed and burst into | flames just before landing at the Sharjah airport. Apparently the | Dutch-built Fokker 40 of Kish Air had taken off from the Iranian island | of Kish. | | Kish is said to be a favourite destination for foreigners because of the | cheap and short flights, which carry passengers with a visit visa out of | the country and bring them back to fulfill a mandatory residence-visa | requirement. | | Any idea if any Goans were on the flight? Would appreciate details... FN | -- Details not avl. List of Indians on board the illfated airliner. 1. Pookkotil Manoj 2. Parshotam Lal 3. Jaganathan S 4. Kanda Samy 5. Naseeb Mustapha 6.
