I don't desire to at all make you feel an outsider, dear Nair, but what you findFrom: "Radhakrishnan Nair" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Goanet]Gropping idiom Date: Wed, 11 Feb 2004 15:20:51 +0530
Dear Mr Tavares,
I do admire your wit and brevity, but can't comprehend what you mean by the following verbose. Please explain it to us ignorant folks in plain and simple English:
1) I hope Gurunath-bab will opine on the right form. We could use, most profitably, such querries and gropping answers to improve our idiom from long-distance.
incomprehensible is hardly a conundrum to the cognoscenti of contemporary Goa:
I consider my friend, Gurunath Kelekar, a ranking peer of evolving Konkni. He has
also compiled a Konkni dictionary. I merely hope he will join, and assist us, in our
quest for self-education in our (your inclusion is optionally yours) language.
Gurunath-bab is also the Chair(?) of MARG, the road-safety movement.
However, unfortunately, I do not have his correct current e-address Samir-baba would
you, please, provide your dear Papa's e-contact?
Pure ribbing, horse-play.
2)Bless you Melinda baby,
Quite melchizedekian, old boy!
You have hospitably (AI?) transported us to Heaven, bounced us back to Terra and leave us now, peacefully, on the brink of H---? Or, don't you desire more thrills?
Alfred
Btw, how old are you, Mr Tavares?
Regards, RKN
