Hi all, I watched the floats today at Margao and I must say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I keep reading of how the carnivals of the past were really spectacular,and probably this carnival doesnt really compare to past carnivals,but there was something nice about the atmosphere.There was an air of camaraderie,there was laughter and merriment in the air,people were happy.The streets were really crowded but the organisers and the Police did a fair job of controlling the crowds .I appreciate the time and effort that people put in ,to present their floats.I particularly liked the "Goan bakery",the oven had smoke coming out,and the" poders" on the float seemed happy ,making and selling paos.
