Carnaval one among the many colorful and joyfull events in Goa was celebrated in Maryland. The event celebrations organized in traditional Goan-Brazilian style was declared open by the King of Carnaval popularly referred as King MOMO, followed by a mini Carnaval parade consisting of 6 groups. Group Mapusa with their well coordinated dance moves and creative costumes were the winner's of the evening. Panjim thrilled the crowd with some delightfull dancing and Sao Paulo were the crowd favorites with some absolute stunning stunts. The other groups in the competition were Margao, Vasco & Rio. The parades were followed by the Red & Black dance and the evening concluded with the competition to select the King & Queen for 2005.
