"Minor issues"??? Am I reading this correctly?? These are MAJOR issues, not minor ones. Who would want his/her child to attend a school where drugs and alcohol are easily obtained and where 10 year old girls are gang-raped by 14 year old boys? I do not believe that people who homeschool their children have a religious agenda, but rather the more religious the parents, the more likely they are to pay attention to their children's education, not the other way around. Most "religious" parents (whatever that means) send their kids to public schools, very few make the commitment to homeschool them. If were just about religion, more kids in the US would be homeschooled, don't you think?

"Minor" issues, indeed.

This is exactly my point. Homeschooling in the U.S. is mostly about
religion. Drugs, sex and failing schools are just minor issues meant
to be used as selling points, and to hide the religious agenda in
public forums:-)
