On a recent trip to Athens, Georgia I visited some Brasilain friends in Marietta, I was surprised to see the new wave of Brasilian Immigrants who fled the Northeast winter to establish homes and businesses on the Southern belts. Portuguese is all over the US. Goans settled in the US continue to seek Portugeuse Nationality, they all want a sense of belonging to a Portuguese past.
