In what sense can I see them as outsiders? Only in the same sense that a tight-lipped Brit spits in the face of a dark-skinned passer-by on the sidewalk in London with a venomous "Paki, go home!" REPLY:- In my own experience it is a rare occurrence, when and if this does happen in London. I would say that it is even rarer, for Goans to abuse non Goan Indians, selling their wares and offering their services in Goa. I believe Goans are much more tolerant, even though we might spit venom on the net. Of the instances that are reported of racial attacks, in the U.K., it could be that, unfortunately the victim is of another shade. Attacks take place whether one is white, black, brown, yellow or green in the U.K. especially after pub closing hours. If life was so intolerable here we Goans in the U.K. would be queing up to return to Goa. Especially the elderly folk, who by all means are sitting on a little gold mine in respect of their houses, which in many instances are in the region of 250,000 to 500,000 and upwards. Surely a tidy sum to live like a true bhatcar in Goa.
